## Subletting of HDB flats : 

3 years :
- Non-subsidised flat (flat purchased from the open market without a CPF housing grant) and the application to buy the flat was received by HDB before 30 Aug 2010.

5 years :
- Non-subsidised flat (flat purchased from the open market without a CPF housing grant) and the application to buy the flat was received by HDB on or after 30 Aug 2010.
- Subsidised flat (flat purchased directly from HDB or from the open market with a CPF housing grant)

## Subletting of Bedroom(s)

As a flat owner of a 3-room or bigger flat, you are allowed to sublet your spare bedroom(s). 
No prior approval from HDB is required for subletting of room(s). However, flat owners must register the subletting with HDB within 7 days from the commencement date of the subletting. The flat owners and the authorised occupiers must also continue to stay in the flat with the subtenants during the subletting period and comply with other subletting conditions
